Irving Nygren, Board Member Emeritus
Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Irv is one of the “founding parents” of Jericho Road and has been a constant inspiration and guiding light for our organization from the very beginning.
Married to his lovely wife Elizabeth, the couple has lived in Redmond since 1998 for part of their 64 years together.
Receiving Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from the Pacific Lutheran University, Irv has held Pastoral positions in such varied locations as Roy, Washington and Islamabad, Pakistan. He has also taught elementary and high school classes and today teaches as a substitute on occasion.
Irv has served several terms as Chair of the Jericho Road Board and his wife Liz has held the position of treasurer during the same period. Both retired from the board recently with Irv maintaining an important contact as mentor and consultant.
